Tumor Markers Screening
To aid in the early detection of certain types of cancers, especially in individuals at higher risk. A tumour marker screening can also assess how well a treatment (e.g., surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation) is working by measuring changes in tumor marker levels, and to detect if cancer has returned after treatment.
Available markers include AFP (Liver), CEA (Colon), CA19.9 (Pancreas), CA125 (Ovary) for females, PSA (Prostate) for males, and EBV (Nose and throat).

Women aged 50-74 are advised to have a mammogram every two years. Women aged 40-49 or those with higher risk factors should consult their doctor for personalised guidance.
How Do I Prepare For A Mammogram?
Avoid using deodorants, perfumes, or lotions on your chest and underarms on the day of the exam, as they can affect the X-ray.
What Happens During a Mammogram?
Your breast will be placed on a flat surface and gently compressed with a paddle to take clear X-ray images from multiple angles.
Does a Mammogram Hurt?
Some women experience mild discomfort during the compression, but the procedure is quick, usually lasting only a few minutes.
Can I Have a Mammogram During Menstrual Period?
It’s best to schedule your mammogram one week after your period, as breasts may be less tender during this time.
Do I Need A Mammogram If I Have No Family History Of Breast Cancer?
Yes, most breast cancer cases occur in women with no family history, making regular screening essential.
Can I Have A Mammogram If I Am Pregnant Or Breastfeeding?
Screening mammograms are generally not conducted during pregnancy but may be performed if urgently needed. Mammograms can be conducted for breastfeeding women, but it is advisable to consult their doctor.
